Fortel Group, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of construction labour, has announced the opening of a new office in Suffolk to accommodate the growth of infrastructure projects in the East of England.

Having secured several high-profile projects in water, highways, and energy sectors in the East of England, Fortel Group foresaw a pipeline of projects in the region in the coming years and has positioned itself at the heart of supporting the upcoming Sizewell C capital project, generating low-carbon electricity for around six million homes. To deliver this, Fortel Group required a new base to support its expanding operations in the area.

In addition to establishing its fifth regional location in the heart of Ipswich town centre, Fortel Group has also recruited industry heavyweight Dean Everett as Contracts Manager.

Dean brings over 22 years of experience within the sector and joins a growing team of Fortel Group employees who will be based at the new office.

Speaking about his appointment, Dean said: "I am delighted to be joining the Fortel Group, a company with an outstanding reputation within the industry that is working on prestigious projects across the country. These are exciting times for the region, with such high-profile projects planned and underway. I am looking forward to engaging with our clients and communities to expand and develop the skilled workforce that will leave a lasting legacy for the region."

Tej Nijjer, Head of Major Infrastructure at Fortel Group, added: "As work in the region has increased due to investment in major energy and road projects, now felt like the right time to secure a base for Fortel and to house our growing contracts, recruitment, and skilled labour teams. The new office in Ipswich will not only support our existing projects but also position us to better serve the community and contribute to the region’s economic growth. We are committed to building a highly skilled workforce that will drive these projects forward and create long-term benefits for the local area."
