Redditch Independent Pharmacy Supplier Supports School Charity Donation
A leading pharmaceutical supplier has teamed up with a local middle school to support a charity battling poverty internationally.
Redditch based Lexon, in partnership with St Bede’s Catholic Middle School, has donated more than 500 men and womens toiletries products to St Vincent De Paul Society (SVP).
Lexon Warehouse Assistant Agnieszka Suszczewicz approached her employers to ask if they could support St Bede’s - which has worked with SVP for a number of years - with their latest appeal.
The donation, consisting of essential toiletries, forms part of a package delivered to the SVP and was taken from Lexon stock.
Lexon is a leading supplier to independent pharmacies across the UK, with distribution centres in Redditch, Dublin, Durham and Leeds.
The donation forms part of a variety of social and charitable campaigns that Lexon, which is also leading on the Covid-19 vaccine booster rollout in the Redditch area, takes part in.
HR Officer Joseph Adkins, who delivered the toiletries on behalf of Lexon, said: “We are really proud to have partnered with St Bede’s on this donation.
“Supporting our communities is something that we are always striving to do in impactful ways. When a member of our team suggested that we could help their son’s school in their efforts, it made perfect sense.”
Luke Payton, Deputy Principal of St Bede’s Catholic Middle School, said: “We are so grateful for the generous donation from Lexon.
“It will go a long way to support the homeless and those that are vulnerable in our local community this winter.”
